STARS CQI Planning and Application Support for Family Home and Center Based Programs CoP March 15, 2024
Work together with peers, SPARQS Quality Support Specialists, and CDD STARS team members to develop your program’s STARS CQI application for quality recognition in Vermont. A team of facilitators will guide you through each step of the STARS CQI process, review tools and resources, and share strategies. Participants will complete a STARS-approvable CQI Plan for their desired STARS level over 5 monthly sessions. Two virtual sessions will be held via Zoom. Three in-person sessions will be held at regional locations (Winooski, Waterbury, and Rutland). Family home and center-based child care programs at all STARS levels may participate. Sessions will cover STARS and CQI overview, adult-child interactions, family and youth engagement, responsive practice, data collection strategies, internal and external assessment tools and strategies, goal setting skills, Strengthening Families Framework™, Vermont Early Learning Standards, and developmentally appropriate practice.
