Special Topics: Afterschool ,
Sponsor: Anna Howes
Instructor: Anna Howes Gebhardt

Following the work of Ellen Galinsky and her book Mind in the Making we will meet for 11 hours of professional development training covering an eight module course designed by the Families and Work Institute. These eight modules will outline the 7 essential life skills every child needs and how to create developmentally appropriate games and activities that promote executive functioning of the brain. This course is oriented towards adults who work with children ages 2-12. We will cover a broad spectrum of ages and developmental phases/abilities. We will also work with multiple aspects of adult learning and look at our own executive functioning skills as teachers and parents.
