Early Childhood Institute on Reggio Emilia Inspired Practices July 28, 2025
Are you familiar with the Reggio Emilia Approach and looking for a community of educators to learn with and from about interpreting its values and principles in their Vermont contexts?
This multi-session Community of Practice will provide a forum for Vermont early childhood educators to support each other's understanding of the values/principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, specifically around the role of observation and documentation in creating a contextual curriculum. Participants will engage with colleagues from the area to explore the pedagogical implications of RE inspired concepts within their unique Vermont contexts. This Community of Practice series is designed for Vermont educators who already have a working knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach and are interested in both deepening and contextualizing their understanding.
Participants are encouraged to participate in the entire series as a community of practice, however participation in the in person content without the community of practice aspect is an option. Priority will be given to participants in and around Washington County and those who are able to attend the maximum number of sessions (in-person and virtual).
