Never Too Early, Back to Balance: Supporting Smooth Transitions to and from Holiday Breaks Deb Norris

Sponsor: Vermont Humanities
Instructor: Leanne Porter

Explore strategies for effectively managing both children and caregivers during the holiday season, which is often marked by media overload, shopping distractions, and increased sugar consumption. Educators can create an environment of stability and comfort during this busy time. The course will focus on sensory-based interventions that provide opportunities for children and caregivers to pause, reflect, and relax. Caregivers will also consider how to balance their personal feelings about celebrations with the diverse needs of children and families. You will receive picture books to support the themes discussed in this class.
