Managing Trauma Response in the Developing Child Brendan Rooney

In this 2-hour workshop participants will explore the effects of trauma and toxic stress on the brain and behavior of the developing child. Participants will leave with tools to assist for responding to dysregulation and trauma activation including practices that support healthy brain development and effective co-regulation. Content will include an opportunity to share expertise, plus resources from the Harvard Center on the Developing Child, The Alberta Family Wellness Initiative, and more. This workshop is designed for providers who work directly with children from birth to age 5 in the home and pre-school/classroom care settings.
