Basic Specialized Care January 15, 2020
Basic Specialized Care is a six-hour introductory training for early childhood professionals who serve vulnerable children and their families in child care settings. This training is one of the requirements to become a Specialized Child Care Provider in Vermont. Topics covered include: child development, the impact of stress and abuse on development, red flags, working with families and the system, and mandated reporting responsibilities. Completion of the Mandated Reporter training is required before taking the Basic Specialized Care training.

This training will be at the Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin in Conference Room #2. Enter through the main door, as you pass the information Kiosk you will look for stairs on your left. Go down the stairs and you will find several marked conference rooms. You may bring a lunch or snacks. There is a cafeteria on that floor where you can purchase lunch. The Mandated Reporter training is required before taking Basic Specialized Care. Per CCV Policy, please do not bring children to this training.
