Advancing as a Profession in Vermont – An Overview Deb Norris

Special Topics:
Sponsor: VTAEYC
Instructor: Rachel Hunter

Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) has been examining the concept of Advancing as a fully recognized profession, as part of that work Vermont's Task Force continues to explore: to what extent might Vermont's early childhood workforce might choose to align with the NAEYC's Unifying Framework. This online real-time training provides participants with an understanding of the Unifying Framework’s recommendations for Identity, 3 Designations with Aligned Preparation Pathways and Professional Compensation and how they relate to each other. It also provides historic information relating to the fragmentation of the existing early childhood field and the call for public investment.
