Basic Specialized Care January 29, 2020
Basic Specialized Care is a six-hour introductory training for early childhood professionals who serve vulnerable children and their families in child care settings. This training is one of the requirements to become a Specialized Child Care Provider in Vermont. Topics covered include: child development, the impact of stress and abuse on development, red flags, working with families and the system, and mandated reporting responsibilities. Completion of the Mandated Reporter training is required before taking the Basic Specialized Care training.

This training takes place at the Newport CCV in the Hebard Building at 100 Main Street. You should bring a bag lunch. The Mandated Reporter training is required before taking Basic Specialized Care.
