Basic Specialized Care is a six-hour introductory training for early childhood professionals who serve vulnerable children and their families in child care settings. This training is one of the requirements to become a Specialized Child Care Provider in Vermont. Topics covered include: child development, the impact of stress and abuse on development, red flags, working with families and the system, and mandated reporting responsibilities. This ​is ​a ​three-​part training, ​participants ​must ​attend all ​sessions ​in ​order ​to ​obtain ​credit ​for ​completion. Online ​mandated ​reporter ​training ​is ​a ​PRE-REQUISITE ​to ​completing ​this ​workshop.

Online Real Time training sessions will be delivered via Zoom. Participants must have an Internet connection and computer, laptop, mobile device or tablet with camera, audio, and mic.
