Basic Specialized Care March 2, 2021
Basic Specialized Care is a six-hour introductory training for early childhood professionals who serve vulnerable children and their families in child care settings. This training is one of the requirements to become a Specialized Child Care Provider in Vermont. Topics covered include: child development, the impact of stress and abuse on development, red flags, working with families and the system, and mandated reporting responsibilities. This is an Online Real-Time Training using Zoom and is offered in one day with scheduled breaks. There will be a morning break, a lunch break around 11:30 and an afternoon break.
This is an Online Real Time training and will be delivered via Zoom. Participants must have an Internet connection and computer, laptop, mobile device or tablet with camera, audio, and mic. If you have questions about using Zoom, contact your Resource Advisor or visit https://northernlightsccv.org/zoom A packet of training materials and a Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants prior to the start of the training. The Zoom link will come from the Trainer, Becca Webb. The group will decide on exact times for morning and afternoon breaks depending on natural breaks in the content. This is a full-day training and you must attend all day to successfully complete this training.
