Building a Mindfulness Toolkit: The Key to Kindness and Well-Being Deb Norris

Special Topics: Advanced Specialized Care ,
Sponsor: Northern Lights at CCV
Instructor: Amanda Biggs

Mindfulness is much more than a buzzword and deep breathing! Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being are at the core of mindfulness and creating space for intentional and non-judgmental awareness starts with each of us. We are all stressed, perhaps more than ever, and our emotional regulation can be enhanced through an ongoing mindfulness practice and commitment to being present. When adults model the ability to pause, stay focused, and respond with kindness and curiosity, we help to build emotional intelligence in the children and families we serve. In addition, mindfulness enables staff to show up and bring their full presence and attention to the workplace. Join us to learn how to build a toolbox for implementing mindfulness techniques and fostering a culture of kindness and compassion in your early childhood setting.
