CACFP Annual Review, Whole Grains and Recipe Swap! Deb Norris

This training will cover the rules and regulations for participation in the CACFP including meal patterns, serving sizes, special diets and meal modifications, record keeping requirements, monitoring requirements, as well as claims submission and reimbursement rates. We will also talk about the importance of whole grains, along with how to identify whole grain rich foods and how to incorporate them in kid friendly ways. There will also be an opportunity to get hands on and make some whole grain oatmeal energy bites! Lastly, providers are encouraged to bring a copy of their favorite recipe (meal or snack) to share with the group so hopefully everyone can walk away with something new to add to their rotation of foods! Please bring or email a copy of a recipe you would like to share - something you use at your program that your kids enjoy. It could be anything from a special snack, a make ahead casserole or your favorite pancake recipe!
