Our Foundations 1 course offers new tools and strategies that improve your own well-being, and your partnership with parents and colleagues. In addition, you will cultivate the following attributes and understandings with children: Inspiration to learn, A sense of connection and inner happiness, Steady focus and concentration, The keys to self-esteem and confidence, What it means to want the best for others, Emotional wellbeing, Cognitive and character development, Positive relationships and Responsibility and discipline ***** Foundations-1: Ellen Tadd's Framework for Wise Education® is the first training in our multi-tiered online program. Over nine weeks, this training provides a comprehensive understanding of the Framework and its applications for you and the young people you serve. You will: Discover a new Framework category and its corresponding chakra center each week Study and apply essential tools, strategies, and attitudes that support well-function in each category Deepen your powers of self and student/child observation Learn to mitigate specific challenges to learning and development (within the settings you serve), such as struggles with focus and self-esteem, anxiety, bullying, shyness, impulsive behavior, and emotional overwhelm. Engaging reading and audiovisual assignments, meaningful partner work, and written reflections will help you fully integrate this impactful methodology. Our weekly Zoom calls bring opportunities to discuss your learning, practice new skills, and deepen your experience with the fundamentals of the Framework approach.

Though 5 hours of time each week may seem daunting, we find that educators who participate in this course feel rejuvenated by the work, as it involves spending a good amount of time paying attention to their own well-being. **** **** This course opens with a highly recommended orientation on Saturday, June 15th at 11 a.m. There is a reading assignment due prior to the first Zoom class. **** This course is helpful and applicable to early educators, directors, board members, and counselors. Successful completion of Foundations-1 grants you Framework Trainee status. **** ****Join Creative Lives Director Maureen Burford, M.Ed., for this nine-week training that includes 2.5 hours of class time and 2+ hours of reading, video, and reflective writing each week. A Framework for Wise Education® is based on author and teacher Ellen Tadd’s discoveries about the human energy system, or chakra system, and its critical role in healthy human development. Her premise is simple but profound: honing well-function across the chakra system yields optimal learning and well-being for all individuals. **** CEU's/Graduate Credits: This course is offered for 5 CEUs and/or 1 graduate credit (credits add an additional cost of $120 through SNHU. Foundations 1 is a prerequisite for further study in this approach.
