Childcare Program Health Policies and Practices: Session 1 – Exclusions and Health Checks March 23, 2020
In the first of three sessions on health practices in child care programs, we will explore inclusion/exclusion policies as well as daily health checks. AAP guidelines will be our primary focus as we review individual site practices/policies. We will discuss how staff are educated on these policies as well as parents/caregivers of the children in their care. Specific illnesses to be addressed per AAP guidelines. Coronavirus will also be addressed if desired by attendees. Objectives: Participants will be able to assess and evaluate their daily health check practice. Participants will be able to plan ways to educate parents on their health care policies.
