Complying with adults and with rules can be a struggle for all kids at times and some kids are consistently resistant and "defiant." Being more strict with consequences is not the whole solution and often only makes kids resist more. The first hour offers a broad view on the reasons kids resist and the science of effective adult-child relationship. Then the second hour teaches specific steps that teachers can start using today when kids resist.
