Exhibition and Atelier Community of Practice (CoP) June 12, 2026
Inspired by the NAREA Conference, or the exhibition and atelier held in Winooski? Do you want to deepen your Reggio-inspired practice even further with other experienced educators? Come join this Intermediate/Advanced level Community of Practice to discuss and reflect on Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material! We will meet in-person in Winooski and have continued access to the exhibit and atelier to inspire our own classroom practice, grounded in child observation which invites reflection and the planning of authentic, responsive curricular encounters.
This CoP will deepen our understanding of the interweaving and transactions that take place between mark-making and narrative by engaging in a deep examination of how drawing and materials are informed by words and mental imagery, and of how words and mental imagery are informed by the senses and perceptions (visual, tactile, sound, physical). Participants will receive up to 12 training hours for attending each live session and completing reflective work on their own between sessions.

This CoP is designed for educators at the Intermediate to Advanced level who already have a working knowledge of Reggio-inspired practices. Several introductory workshops will be available during the exhibition this summer through RIVET https://www.rivetnetwork.net/
