Fostering Cooperative Behaviors in the Preschool/Pre-K Classroom March 8, 2021
Preschool/Pre-K programs are busy, exciting places that offer a wide range of experiences for young children. Of primary importance is teaching our youngest learners appropriate skills, so they can learn how to behave. Without responsive, nurturing support for their social-emotional development, children can exhibit behaviors that hinder their learning and positive development. This training explores classroom environment, management and expectations, and considers how these elements can teach young children how to develop cooperation and minimize their challenging behaviors. We’ll discuss a variety of techniques that promote appropriate behaviors for all the children in your classroom, and relate this to the STARS assessment tools; CLASS Pre-K and ECERS-3.
