From Possible to Powerful: Selecting, Using, and Evaluating Evidence-Based Practices: A Master Class for Faculty and PD Providers March 26, 2019
Recent publications from Transforming the Workforce to the DEC Recommended Practices have emphasized the importance of using evidence-based practices (EBPs) to support young children’s learning and development. This is particularly important for young children with disabilities who may have different learning trajectories, but also important for children of diverse cultures, languages, and life circumstances. This Master Class will move beyond reading about evidence-based practices by showing and discussing video examples of what EBPs look like in action and providing guidance on appropriate use. Participants will gain access to video clips of practices that they can use in their own teaching and professional development work.
- Observation & Assessment
- Developmentally Appropriate & Inclusive Practices
- Curriculum & Learning Environments
- Instructors of Adults
Participants must register in advance. Because the Master Class will be held in a government office building, a roster must be submitted in advance and no one will be able to register on site.
