Green Mountain Teachers Camp April 27, 2021
Green Mountain Teachers Camp (GMTC) in Dummerston, Vermont begins Sun, June 20 at 6:00pm and runs until Fri, June 25, 2021 at 1:00pm. Monday through Friday include 5 hours of professional development each day: morning workshops from 9:00 am to noon and focus groups from 3-5pm. The rest of the time is yours to enjoy! You have the option of joining adventures, art activities, hikes and more... or just relaxing by the pool, the campfire, or in your cabin. GMTC is a forum for exploring the challenge of sustaining your own voice amid increasing pressure to standardize curriculum, classrooms and children's needs. At GMTC, participants are acknowledged for their courage and energy, and invited to take risks, to collaborate in creative efforts, to enrich their own sense of self. If you have been teaching for a while or are just starting out and want to have a wonderful time in a beautiful setting in the woods in southern Vermont with teachers from all over the country who work with all age levels, then we invite you to join us at the 2021 Green Mt Teachers Camp, a unique event of personal renewal and professional development that will make you very glad you came!
***** To read more about Green Mt Teachers Camp visit this link: https://greenmountainteacherscamp.com/ ***** GMTC is "camp" in every sense of the word! Not fancy or luxurious but cozy and comfy and so much fun!! Nestled in the Green Mts of Vermont, the rustic cabins (with electricity) are just a few steps from the restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets! Bring a swimsuit and towel too as we have a beautiful pool! Many hiking trails, covered bridges, waterfalls and swimming holes are within walking distance of the camp! We enjoy delicious meals (all included in the cost). Camp will be different in some ways this year (as it was last year) due to the pandemic. We will be observing COVID-19 protocols that are in place for Vermont, including social distancing, extra hand-washing and disinfecting, and masks or facial coverings for all who can safely wear them. We have developed some new procedures, changed the location of some activities, and have given a great deal of thought to making this event as safe as possible.
