Growing Up WILD February 19, 2019
"Growing Up Wild" is an early education program that builds on a child's sense of wonder of the world and invites them to explore wildlife and nature around them. This program helps to develop lifelong social and academic skills about the natural world. Each participant in this training will receive the activity guide, "Growing Up Wild: Exploring Nature with Young Children", written for children 3-7. This guide features 27 field-tested, hands-on, ready-made thematic units and over 400 experiences for children. The experiences include scientific exploration, art, music and movement, reading and math and numerous extension activities. The activities help to foster learning in the domains of social and emotional, physical, language and cognitive areas.
