We are pleased to announce this 3-part series of workshops co-presented by Kristina (Kris) Brines, an employment attorney with Paul Frank + Collins P.C., and Beth Gilpin, an HR and recruiting consultant with Beth Gilpin Consulting.

Each workshop will introduce a topic and related practice tips and tools, complemented by handouts with links to various resources, and suggested action items to reinforce learning in between sessions. Participants will be able to ask questions, and, as time allows, have an opportunity to practice and collaborate with peers. Workshop topics will include:

  • • What it means to “hire well (and legally!)” and why it is important for reasons of compliance, risk management, employee engagement and retention, employer brand and workplace culture, among others.
  • • How to create a solid foundation for hiring well.
  • • Key documents and processes, including job descriptions, application forms, interview and reference questions, and stages of a hiring process.
  • • Best practices for vetting candidates, including interviewing, checking references, communicating with candidates, and welcoming and onboarding new employees.
