Interactive Storytelling to Strengthen Oral Language July 25, 2019
Flynn Center for the Performing Arts’ Lead Teaching Artist Susanna Olson guides participants through a fun playful interactive storytelling experience designed to strengthen expressive and receptive language in preschool students. Using the Flynn’s signature Words Come Alive arts integration program, Susanna has been collaborating with Head Start classroom teachers since 2016 to discover ways to harness the power of music, movement and drama to support language goals. Following the modeling experience, participants will learn about a potential opportunity to participate in a paid professional development program in the 2019-20 school year.
