Introduction to Never Too Early Courses for Early Educators Deb Norris

Special Topics:
Sponsor: Vermont Humanities Council
Instructor: Leanne Porter

IMPORTANT NOTE: This class is only for early educators who have NOT completed a Never Too Early class since 2019. We will offer this class on Tuesday, November 19 from 6-7:30 pm via Zoom. You will receive two credit hours if you attend this introductory session, use the books and activities with children in your care, and provide feedback on your work. Never Too Early courses are free professional development opportunities for early educators. Currently, there are Level I and Level II classes for each of three different topics: NTE Foundations of Literacy; NTE Social-Emotional Development Through Children's Literature; and NTE Visual Literacy and Experiential Art. Each NTE class provides six credit hours and each participant receives a set of picture books. In this two-hour introductory class, we will discuss the three NTE classes. Topics will also include curriculum development, learning environments, and open-ended questions. This class is an excellent opportunity to learn about Never Too Early and how these courses can benefit you, your practice and educational philosophy, and the educational development of children in your care. If you attend, you will receive two credit hours and two picture books to use with children in your care.
