Let’s Talk About Feeding Kids Deb Norris

Special Topics:
Sponsor: Northwestern Counseling and Support Services
Instructor: Michelle Trayah

In addition to the annual review of policies and procedures, this training will focus on what do children need for nutrition. With so many parents following a variety of popular diet trends, what does research show that children actually need to take in as far as nutrients go and other dietary components as this aligns with the CACFP meal patterns? And what can meet these requirements in a cost effective way with food prices on the rise? This training will also offer opportunities for people to share menus with others. Included in the policies section will be: Monitoring Visits, Meal Patterns, Meal Counts, Recordkeeping, sanitary kitchens along with Claims Submission and Reimbursement for Meals Served and Civil Rights.
