Love and Logic: Part 3 – Community of Practice September 26, 2019
The Love and Logic Institute has been dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with children and help prepare children for the real world. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic. Love allows children to grow through their mistakes. Love allows them to live with the consequences of their choices. Love and Logic: Part 3 will address the concept of teaching and modeling problem-solving for young children and how to begin to pass along the pearls of Love and Logic wisdom to parents/guardians of children in your care. Participants should come prepared to share two pieces of information for the group: 1.) One Love and Logic success story from the past few months. 2.) One Love and Logic puzzle from the past few months (a challenge that needs some attention). Participants will: 1) acquire and practice 2-3 new Love and Logic tools around problem-solving with children: 2) identify at least 1 strategy to bring parents/guardians in as partners in the Love and Logic process at your childcare setting. This training is appropriate for for infant/toddler teachers, preschool teachers and the care givers who support them.
