Meaningful Family Engagement Through Positive Relationships February 27, 2024
The relationships that Early Childhood Professionals build with children and families hold a critical role in building meaningful family engagement. Join us for this interactive session, led by consultant Ellen Drolette, as we explore theories that impact relationships, mindsets, and behaviors in our work with families. Participants will add strategies to their growing toolbox by using the approaches provided. Concepts discussed will address the STARS Family and Youth Engagement Element of Quality: Engaging families and youth using program structures and practices to create respectful, responsive, reciprocal relationships with families and youth. These relationships are partnerships in development and learning and are responsive to each family’s and youth’s cultural norms.
