More than Sticker Charts: Using ABA to Create a Positive Classroom Environment January 17, 2020
In this training, we will describe the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and discuss strategies to use to increase positive behaviors and decrease negative behaviors. We will utilize videos, interactive methods and presentations to teach why problem behaviors are occurring and how to choose the appropriate approach to changing them. We will use real life, applied examples that can be used in the childcare setting. This course will meet two core objectives: Objective 1- To identify the function (the why) of behaviors that are happening. Objective 2- How to use positive reinforcement to teach replacement behaviors.
