"Mud Kitchen Workshop" with April Zajko and Suzette Salmon Ready to bring more Mud Play into your outdoor classroom? Join April and Suzette in exploring how to set up an engaging, low cost mud kitchen. This two hour session will focus on equipping educators with ways to help extend the children’s explorations of mud through developing a mud kitchen, adding tools and natural loose parts. April will start the session exploring three steps for embracing mud play. Then Suzette will give us a photo tour of her Mud Kitchen in her family child care program in Illinois. Participants will then get to self-select which breakout room they want to join. After the breakout rooms each group will share 2-3 highlights of their discussion. Participants will have access to the all the notes in a shared Google Doc! These break out rooms will focus on: Infant/ Toddler Family Child Care School Age Math Connections with Mud Plants for Play in the Mud Kitchen Mud Books Literacy Connections Tools for Mud Play Mud Kitchen Set Ups Details ~ this two hour workshop is FREE!
