Nature Play All Summer Long April 7, 2026
Step outside and let learning unfold in fresh air and open spaces this summer. In this workshop, educators will explore simple, engaging ways to keep children actively learning all summer through nature-based play. Together, we'll dig into hands-on experiences including gardening, water play, gross motor games, creative arts, and open-ended exploration using natural and everyday materials you already have on hand.
Participants will receive a "digital tool kit” of ideas that are easy to implement, responsive to children's interests, and aligned with the Vermont Early Learning Standards. Whether you have a full outdoor classroom or just a small patch of green, you'll walk away with meaningful ways to create joyful, developmentally rich summer experiences.
