Never Too Early, Back to Balance: Supporting Smooth Transitions to and from Holiday Breaks Hailey Paschold

Sponsor: Vermont Humanities
Instructor: Leanne Porter

This class will explore strategies for effectively managing both children and caregivers during the holiday season, which is often marked by media overload, shopping distractions, and increased sugar consumption. Educators can create an environment of stability and comfort during this busy time. The course will focus on children's literature and sensory-based interventions that provide opportunities for children and caregivers to pause, reflect, and relax. Caregivers will also consider how to balance their personal feelings about celebrations with the diverse needs of children and families.

Participants will receive books for this class AFTER the first session. Participation in class and in a Google Classroom is a requirement of the class in order to receive credit hours.
