Partnering with Families August 11, 2025
The "Partnering with Families Curriculum" (copyright @ Watersong Consulting) is a 4 part curriculum for Early Childhood professionals who are looking to improve their relationships with the families they serve. The four sessions are entitled: Understanding Trauma and the Stress Reponse; Practicing Empathy and Compassion; Checking Bias; and Fostering Belonging. This curriculum helps professionals understand the effects of trauma and stress on brains and bodies and the roles that self-compassion and self-regulation play in improving interactions. In addition, participants will examine their own empathy misses and tools for creating a more compassionate culture; they will engage with their own biases and gain strategies to overcome them; and they will leave with tools for fostering a sense of belonging. This is delivered as four 2-hour workshops online and includes lively interaction and activities.
