Racial Humility and Inclusion February 22, 2021
Participants will review definitions related to anti-racism and what race is, learn about and complete the Race and SkinTone Implicit Association Test (IAT) and share examples/stories of witnessing/experiencing racial bias. Participants will also discuss and define various stages to being inclusive and highlight how biases/microaggressions manifest in specific settings. The session will end with going over suggestions for how to have conversations with students about race, and discuss tips for intervening when biases/microaggessions occur.
