Reggio Inspired Training Series: Exploring the Possibilities of Materials Hailey Paschold September 3, 2026

This Reggio-Inspired Training Series invites early childhood educators to explore how Reggio-inspired principles, materials, and environments can deepen children's learning through creativity, curiosity, and exploration. Led by RIVET member Jackie Prime, participants will learn alongside one another through hands-on experiences, reflection, and opportunities to bring new ideas into their own programs. Throughout the series, the group will explore materials and techniques, experience Reggio-inspired practices in classroom settings, create atelier experiences and provocations for children and families, and ultimately document and share their learning with the broader community.

In this session "Exploring the Possibilities of Materials", participants will explore the possibilities of open-ended materials through a Reggio-inspired lens. Through hands-on exploration and reflection, educators will consider how the thoughtful selection and presentation of materials can invite curiosity, creativity, and deeper learning. Participants will leave with new ideas and materials to bring back to their own early childhood settings.
