Risky Play is Okay September 11, 2026
In this interactive 2+2+2 training, participants will explore the foundations of risky play and consider how they can intentionally expand risky play opportunities for the children in their programs. Using the Pre-Teach–Coach–Reflect model, participants will develop a plan for supporting a risky play experience and apply their learning between sessions. During the final session, participants will reflect on their experiences and begin developing a “Risky Play Is Okay” resource to help families understand the importance and developmental benefits of risky play.
