This ​training ​will ​describe ​social-emotional ​development, ​including ​self-concept ​and ​self-esteem ​for ​children ​in ​different ​stages ​of ​infancy/toddlerhood. ​ ​The ​role ​of ​relationships, ​the ​environment ​and ​curriculum ​will ​be ​discussed. ​

This Training is at the Montpelier CCV, 660 Elm Street. Instructor: Mandi Menard. This training uses a 2+2+2 training design. There are three parts to this training: 1. A two-hour in-person training session; 2. A two-hour assignment practicing or implementing the training material; and 3. Another two-hour in-person training session focused on reflection and next steps related to the training material. To receive the full 6 training hours you must attend both in-person trainings and complete the independent assignment. In order to receive accommodations for disabilities, training participants must communicate with the Northern Lights at CCV Americans with Disabilities Coordinator (http://ccv.edu/discover-resources/students-with-disabilities/). To allow reasonable time for arranging services, participants should communicate with the ADA coordinator at least two weeks before training begins. Maximum participants 16, minimum 8.
