Step by Step Through the ITERS-3 | Item 14: Encouraging Children’s Use of Books February 18, 2021
Are you new to the ITERS-3? Have you been using it for a while, but still have questions about certain items in the scale? In this weekly online training, we will break down the Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale, Third Edition, and discuss one item per week. Our presenter will spend 30 minutes explaining the item of the week leaving the last 15 minutes for questions. Participants can sign up for all sessions, or register for individual sessions based on information needed. This session will cover Item 14: Encouraging Children's Use of Books. Books should be accessible to young children for a large portion of their day. In this session we’ll discuss how staff can assist children in using books through the organization of the classroom environment.
