STRONG: Train the Trainer August 21, 2025
This train-the-trainer opportunity equips instructors to deliver high-quality professional development on the Strengthening Families Framework and the Five Protective Factors using the STRONG curriculum. Participants will deepen their understanding of the Five Protective Factors—parental resilience, social connections, concrete support in times of need, knowledge of parenting and child development, and social-emotional competence of children—while exploring adult learning principles and how to apply them effectively in a virtual or in-person environment. Through a focus on instructional design and facilitation, participants will practice creating engaging and relevant learning experiences that promote reflection and action, and practice learner-centered techniques that foster interactive and meaningful professional development for early childhood and afterschool professionals.
