Domestic violence is unfortunately a prevalent issue in our communities and can have devastating, lasting impacts on families. Early childhood educators play an important role in supporting children and parents. In this 2-hour session, participants will learn:
- 1. Dynamics of abusive relationships, types of violence, and how to recognize signs of abuse
- 2. What parenting can look like in an abusive relationship and its impact on children
- 3. How to respond to disclosures and best practices for supporting children and parents
This training is hosted by Steps to End Domestic Violence, a nonprofit that serves survivors of intimate partner violence in Chittenden County, VT.
