Supporting Families Impacted by Intimate Partner Violence February 2, 2026
Domestic violence is unfortunately a prevalent issue in our communities and can have devastating, lasting impacts on families. Early childhood educators play an important role in supporting children and parents. In this 2-hour session, participants will learn:
1. Dynamics of abusive relationships, types of violence, and how to recognize signs of abuse
2. What parenting can look like in an abusive relationship and its impact on children
3. How to respond to disclosures and best practices for supporting children and parents
