Talking to Teens About Dating Violence December 12, 2025
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Learn how to best support teen survivors in your classroom, afterschool program, or community in this introductory webinar. In this 1.5 hour session, we will discuss: - What abuse can look like in teen relationships and its lasting impact - The teen power and control wheel - The importance of talking about this issue with teens - Do's and don'ts when bringing up the topic of dating violence - How to respond to disclosures of abuse This training is facilitated by Steps to End Domestic Violence, a nonprofit that serves survivors of intimate partner violence in Chittenden County, VT. Our Community Engagement team works closely with teens and local high schools, including offering consent based workshops, direct service support, and resources on dating violence.
