The Kid Who Won’t… Moving from Managing Behaviors to Engagement February 21, 2019
This four hour interactive workshop will focus on why young people misbehave and how the culture and structure of your program impacts that. Participants will learn and practice utilizing choice language, as well as develop a toolkit of calls and responses, and transition time practices. Participants will have a deeper understanding of how to use praise and proximity as well as how to set boundaries and rules that stick. Participants will be able to process youth's choices and create a culture of self-awareness and responsibility. Participants will gain a deeper understanding how to set structure that includes youth voice and minimizes unwanted behavior.
