The Role of Risk in Play and Learning August 13, 2021
One of our most basic instincts is to protect our children. This need to keep our children free of injury can do more harm than good. When children are always protected from risks they never learn to access the environment they are in. When children have the opportunity to explore risk taking in play and in learning they are able to match their own skills as they perform a risk assessment. In this workshop participants will learn how to support age-appropriate risk taking.
