The Toddler CLASS in Practice: Book Time March 2, 2021
This interactive session will explore what book time with toddlers looks and sounds like when early childhood educators put Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) strategies into place. We’ll use 3 books with different styles: These Hands by Hope Lynn Price, Move It! of Sterling Children’s Books, and Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? by Eric Carle. (Purchase of the books not required.) Participants will generate open-ended questions, choices, varied vocabulary, specific feedback, connections with children’s lives and experiences, and more to offer toddlers while exploring books. Come see the Toddler CLASS in practice!
