Voices of Learning: An Interactive Approach to Adult Instruction September 11, 2020
This workshop is designed for new instructors, or experienced instructors who want to continue developing their practice in effective learning design and facilitating learning. This workshop in its entirety also meets a requirement for approval into Vermont's Instructor Registry. Basic principles of adult learning will be combined with best practices that balance the delivery of new information with interactive, hands-on participation. Participants will discover how to create training designs that are both meaningful and relevant to their audience while making the training engaging and immediately applicable. You will also discover how the training that you offer to early childhood and afterschool professionals fits into Vermont's professional development system. The link provided here is to our Voices of Learning Interest Survey. By answering the survey questions, we can help you determine if this training is a good match for you. It should only take you a few minutes complete the survey and once it is submitted, you will be notified within one week about how to register.
The Voices of Learning is a 4 week training that includes weekly reading and writing assignments. You may complete these assignments at any time during the week, as long as you submit the written assignments by the due dates. Written assignments are submitted either by typing directly into the online platform, Global Classroom, (this is NOT a training on ZOOM) or writing a word document that you upload into the online platform. Instructor comments will be posted on the platform, online, and occasionally by email to you directly. When you successfully complete the course, we will issue you a certificate for 12 training hours. Contact for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org
