Your Role in Working for a Community Organization Sylvia Kennedy-Godin

Special Topics:
Sponsor: Essex Junction Recreation and Parks
Instructor: Maureen Gillard

Working for a community organization can be a very rewarding and fun experience when people understand their role and influence in that community. This workshop is designed to help recreation employees at Essex Junction Recreation and Parks understand how to professionally and appropriately interact with the dynamic and diverse population of the town they are working in. In this training, participants will learn the mission and goals of EJRP and how to adhere to them on a daily basis. With a mix of individual, small and large group work, participants will work to discuss how the mission/goals impact what we do and how each member of the team plays a vital role in the community we serve. These discussions will focus primarily on the importance of our interactions with the patrons, and how to ensure that we are presenting ourselves in a positive light.
